Doreen
Hi! I’m Doreen the owner of The Interior Tailor located in Pensacola, FL. After a wonderful 32 years of business in Southport, NC I am now calling Pensacola area home. Although the move has been several years in the planning, it finally came to fruition in June 2023.
While doing business in NC, I was fortunate enough to work along side a design team for Coastal Living Magazine. Back in 2002, they featured two very unique homes on an island off Southport, NC. One an ocean front gem known as “The Family Reunion House” and the other a marsh front charmer “Couples Retreat”.
As for the current chapter of The Interior Tailor, I look forward to building friendships and to continue creating
timeless designs.
"In 2001 we bought a second home on Bald Head Island, NC and the contractor doing renovations on the house suggested we contact Doreen McClung in Southport for help with the interiors. Doreen did our slipcovers, bed skirts,pillows, and cushions, along with window treatments. I so enjoyed working with her and the results were perfect in every way. I liked her workmanship so much that I would even have her do pieces for our Atlanta house!
In 2018 we redid the house and again Doreen did the interiors for us. Again, every pillow, cushion, slipcover, etc. were beautifully done. Sadly, in 2021 there was a terrible fire on our little island and our house was destroyed. Thank goodness for Doreen! I could not have refurnished it without her advice and beautiful workmanship. Amazingly, she had meticulous records of our orders going back to 2001 which was a huge help in establishing values for the insurance company.
Over the years she became a friend to us and we always had good visits while making design decisions. We miss her so much!"
